Job Description

Salary: $103,000 - 143,000 per year Requirements:

Ability to recognize when problems exist or may arise
Ability to apply general rules to specific problems and draw conclusions from multiple pieces of information
Strong written and verbal comprehension and communication skills
Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
Experience in a technology-based environment
Working knowledge of testing methodologies and tools
Continuous improvement mindset, demonstrated through projects or similar work
Experience with XML and JSON files and editors such as Altova, Sublime, or Visual Studio Code
Experience with loyalty, mobile, and card-based payment systems
Gas station or convenience store experience is beneficial

Responsibilities:

Create test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures
Record software defects in Jira, report them to developers, and monitor resolution efforts
Identify, analyze, and document issues with program functionality, output, screens, or content
Develop or improve test plans covering database impacts, software scenarios, regression and negative testing, bug retests, and usability
Document test procedures to support repeatability and compliance with standards
Plan testing schedules and strategies based on project scope and delivery dates
Test software compatibility across programs, hardware, operating systems, and network environments
Test system changes before implementation
Review software documentation for technical accuracy, compliance, completeness, and risk mitigation
Provide feedback and recommendations on software usability and functionality
Monitor program performance for efficient, reliable operation
Investigate customer issues referred by technical support
Analyze historical test results
Perform initial debugging by reviewing configuration files, logs, or code to identify the source of failures
Work with field staff or customers to assess and diagnose problems
